Francesca is one of the few western professional performers of Indian vocal music, with activity of concerts and recordings in India, USA and Europe. Author of the book on dhrupad vocal techniques, “Percorsi della Voce”, (Ut Orpheus Ed, 2000, Bologna) and writer of several articles on international journals. Lecturer of Indian Music at the Conservatory of Vicenza (Italy). Visiting Professor in Musicology at Visva Bharati University (India). Versatile singer in both western and Indian music she has been trained in western opera, as well as in dhrupad by Padmabhushan Ustad R. F. Dagar, and in thumri by Padmabhushan Smt. Girija Devi. She also received professional training in Rabindra Sangeet, and in Gurubani Kirtan tradition.
